Price on the XH A1E? Anyone? How about a release date?
I think it's going to be $3,999 and second week in Oct. I haven't seen any other price yet.
I just got an email from Canon after I ask the same thing. It said:

I wish the price in europe was simply the equivalent in euros, but I'm afraid that is not the case. At BHphotovideo the HVXE costs 5,995 dollars...which would be around 5700€...but here it cost around 5400€...which would be 6850 dollars!

It says 7 days delivery (in germany) so I don't think it's pre-order but just regular order. The price is nice too! (it already includes VAT)

My cinematographer just came into some money and we're going to upgrade our production company from the DVX to the XH A1. I'm so stoked!!!

zipzoomfly and powermax both appear to have the camcorder in stock and shipping, which i highly doubt.
amazon lists a release date of oct. 30.
b&h has it for pre-order with a ship date of mid-oct.
WHO TO ORDER FROM!? i want this thing NOW!

I talked to a guy from a store in madrid who told me it would be available in a couple of weeks for around 3600€.
When are we going to start seeing some footage from the A1? A review or something?
