Does anyone do slideshows combined with video. Im doing a senior video for some friends, but cannot decide which way to go with the slideshow portion. I have I photo, I movie, FCP 4.5, DVD Studio 3 to choose from, but I movie & I photo quality is poor. Transitions in FCP are poor, DVD studio have some kind of flicker - even with different styles of transitions....
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I use Iphoto and then export it as a mov and bring it in to FCP. the trick is full screen pics look better. But if it is just for friends I would stress to much. Now you can really get some good clean looking stuff using Motion or FCP but it will take you more time then IPhoto.

Do you know if anyone has ever created a script for motion to create slideshows?
Also If you were able to us FCP and get good looking transitions? If so - what plugin of effects filter are you using?
