Unfortunately had to cancel my trip to A-dam, so could someone find this out while there?
Anything on FCP6 or an DVCproHD update for PP2.0...?

Hopefully the better P2 integration does also mean ALL flavors of HVX framerates, finally including PAL 720p/1080p...
Can someone confirm this please?

HD for indies reports there's a new FCP version coming out in the next month or so (5.1.2) that does everything. Native support for P2, 24f, XDCam (all frames rates) now I have a reason to buy the new FCP along with a MacBook. Also it can ingest JVC 24p.

Wow. If this is true, I might need to hold off on pulling the trigger on the dell/Edius combo. Would be cool, if it is native p2. I am there if so.

24p people will probably get what they want, its only when it comes to PAL-lands that products always seem to lack behind...

Sorry Spartacus. Actually I'm assuming this will all work with the PAL camera.

My producer just got his MacBook and I love what I'm seeing. If things work well I'll be able to grab a copy of FCP Studio 5.1.2 and put it on the MacBook.

In all honesty I may not get any of this until I need it, which probably won't be until next year. I may even think about a MacBook Pro, but right now the MacBook is looking real good. But I'm assuming this stuff will all work with G4s (don't want to leave the old workhorse out of the picture).
