Fake Ice Pick

I'm trying to build a fake ice pick out of tubing and a handle the conceals the rest of the tube which goes back to a pump that blows blood out. My only concern is i want it to blow it back towards the camera not on the talent, any ideas on what i could put on the end of the tube facing the talent? I have beem looking a lot at homedepot, lowes, mendards, in the plumbing and facet area and cant find anything that caught my eye. Kinda at a designers-block here. Open to suggestions.
