So, in case anyone's dying to see where I'm at with this one, (yeah, right)
the answer is: not very far.
After shooting 3 of the main scenes, two of my main actors (read: friends who are not really actors) is pulling out. Not very manly, I know. Now I know why everyone says use real actors, not your buddies. But I couldn't really imagine subjecting real actors to my virgin effort, since I have no clue what I'm doing.
I would either have to recast these two roles, and re-shoot everything done so far (only 3 scenes I know) or scrap this idea.
I'm toying with either the above idea, or doing a different short, which requires less people. I will decide and shoot this weekend either way...time's wasting.

Or you could go out, actually kill them with a knife, shoot it, and write their gruesome deaths into the script. That's what I do to actors who bail out early...

You could probably get Mark Johnson onboard to re-animate them after you kill them to fill in the holes!
Seriousy, good luck apollyon. Keep us updated!

It will be sorta like "Living in Oblivion!" except with blood! Lots and lots of blood!

I never saw, it but after googling it I may have to rent it. I like the tagline:
"He only needs three things to get through the day ... an espresso, an aspirin, and a miracle."

Maybe it's only me, but I thought that this film (Living in Oblivion) was brilliant. It is an entertaining nightmare on a movie set. Some very funny stuff.
I'll be checking back on your thread... I wish you luck, man!

Are you submitting two films?
Think you're going to get them both done in time?

Hey Lingothree...no this project went the way of the dodo. I had to come up with a new idea with fewer actors required > the Devil Inside, which I see you found your way too :-)
