Audio Going Out Of Sync

I've got some MPEG-2 files, created by the ATI personal recorder thingie.

If I bring them into Vegas (v6), the audio goes out of sync after a while.

They're 29.97s with 48K audio, and that's what I set the project properties & render to, but it just doesn't work.

Why would the audio go out of sync? Is there an easy fix? Some setting I missed?

This is a common problem with ATI type capture cards. I believe it has to do with the way the audio is interlaced. I don’t think you can change this unless the capture software can be tweaked. I use the ADS Instant DVD for MPEG-2 captures and the audio is rock solid. It has to do with the hardware capture device and not Vegas.

Hmmm... It plays ok in Media player.... Maybe a codec change would do it? I'll play around when I have time.
