anyone have any experience with the "lite" version of photoshop that's available for about $100? Is it worth the $100? we're thinking about getting it, but looking for some opinions first...

If you are referring to Photoshop Elements, I have used it (on a friends comp - I've had full versions since 4) and it is very good for basic editing. Still photography is my day job so I would not be able to get by without a full version, but for those with less demanding needs it is very good.
Check out Adobe's page for it and you will see that it is geared more towards families and amatuer use. If that's all you need it for, it's great. But there is a reason there is such a price difference bewteen Elements and CS2. And it's in the features.
