Well, I've searched hard and long and haven't been able to find any of the "new" features that are available in Sony Vegas until today. I came across a page at VideoGuys.com that explains some of what is to be expected with this new release. Doesnt' say a whole lot and doesn't frankly look as though it's that big of a upgrade, but you can decide for yourselves...

I have a feeling there will be more than just the very few things that they have mentioned. I could be very wrong, but I guess we'll just have to see.

Yes, I'm hoping too that there are some more/better additions than what is listed there as well. I find it odd we're within 30 days of release and not a single word from Sony as to what is going to be included in this upgrade. That makes absolutely NO marketing sense as far as I can tell.
Here I am, about to drop $1,000 on a NLE combo of sorts and if I can't tell what Version 7 is going to have, I may very well go elsewhere. If I had an idea on what was going to be available to me in this release, it could very easily sway my opinion on what to buy. Most other companies advertise TOO far in advance, but here we are with an imminent release and nobody seems to know what this new version is going to offer.
Just plain stupid. Kinda makes me think I don't want to give me $$ to these guys just on this subject alone!

Question for you Scharky.... I checked out your webiste with some of your demo video's, the VW dealership, the Aquaquip clip, etc. Did you shoot that yourself and if so, what equipment editing software did you use?

Well, I was the DP on all of those, and those were all shot with the DVX and some with and without the letus 35.

ahh, sorry. I edit mainly with Vegas, although other editors in my production company are using Ppro and FCP, so I have to dabble in them all. Vegas is the winner for me by far. When everyone else is having pulldown issues, losing project files and crashing, vegas has been running rock solid for me. I tend to turn into the get it done guy, if someone else is having computer issue, the projects always tend to migrate my way and I just recut them in vegas in half the time. When will people learn :)
