The long long long overdue Project Greenlight movie FEAST trailer is online... They did some reshoots recently near my house... here's the trailer http://www.fangoria.com/feast/Feast.mov
Love the last line, and the shot at the end, hahaa! Might be an entertaining flick... though all hype for it is now dead...

The release, whatever way you look at it, can be "sweeet!!!" or "... not sweet..."
It's going to have a theatrical release September 22 and 23, with only one showing at midnight each day. There's a list of cities where it's playing on their myspace.
Then, it goes to DVD October 17th.
I think it might be fun to watch. The script apparently is crap, but Gulager seems like he could be a pretty good director, albeit a ve ry strange one.

Thanks for the link, Brandon. I actually enjoyed watching that last season of Project Greenlight. I'm rooting for J. Gulager. I think he has what it takes. He seemed to really grow as a director over the course of the shoot. I'll check this out for sure.

Ummm wtf...
Not hating on the movie, but it's got the same plot as "The Blob".
Military builds bio-weapon and has to test it out, so they send it to a U.S town. Whatever, though. Looks bloody.

So did anyone else find the line "it's gonna eat us" funny?

I found the whole thing kinda comical, in a weird sorta way.

Boy, did that change! When the hell did they turn it into a bio-weapon?

^^^ That's funny about the bio-weapon, it's tacked on. I really liked the proj. greenlight shows, but I've never seen any of the flicks. At the end of the feast project gl series that was one of the notes from the Weinsteins, I believe: That the monster needed more backstory. At the time, they were talking about aliens.
Whatever, it looks like a great b horror flick. At the end of the show, it sounded like this could get a wide theatrical release. Maybe I'll catch the limited. Definitely want to see this after watching project gl, but I think I've said that about all of them ;)

It'll probably show somewhere in L.A. but I'm sure I won't be driving in to see it. I'll probably just wait and buy the DVD.

If it seems "funny" to some it should. The movie itself is more humorous than straight horror. They just cut a trailer to highlight the gore for marketing purposes. The word on the street is the reason it was held back so long was because marketing didn't know what to do with it. They were on the fence about which way to market. Is it a horror? Is it a comedy? Well, guess what? It's both.
I expect this to be a good flik-

Why not rent it then, it's cheaper. May be a Redbox special.

I got to see a screening of FEAST last week while I was in hell... I mean visiting my in-laws in of all places Pittsburgh!
It was pretty much what I expected... the script still sucks really bad, the tacked on bio-weapon plot device is eh-personally I find it scarier when you DON'T have all the answers... very over the top performaces kind of like Evil Dead... I liked what Gulager did overall with the crappy script, but at the end of the day it is just a B movie schlockfest... which means I enjoyed it! :) It's a no brainer, but if you like B horror/sci-fi movies, it definitely has its moments.
I just wish Gulager had a better script to film. I would have been very curious to see what he could have done with a REAL script.
