EVF/LCD flip, maybe even 180° permanent image flip menu option would be amazing features for users of 35mm adapters like Redrock M2. XL-H1 allows that but in very limited way.
Canon, please listen to the Voice of the People! :)

Mine too.
One thing I'd like to lobby for in the G1 is true 10bit 4:2:2 SDI output. This will help shadow rendition and any gradient to totally avoid banding of any sort.

I 100% agree with you. Canon can do that. No need to protect high-end products, because H1/G1 is high-end in 1/3" class

This is a very good point-- the G1 will be an amazing low-cost HD head if it will output 10bit HD-SDI

10bit HD-SDI signal may be impossible if the circuit outputs 8 bits by hardware design, but I have that strange feeling image flip or selective AF areas suggested by dahon man are already supported by Digic II HD and can be enabled from the firmware. It's pretty common practice for electronics industry to hide some functionality for some reasons.
