Does anyone know if there will be a Vegas 7 upgrade, or do I have to buy a whole new package? For example: Premiere Pro offers upgrades each time for about $199.00 instead of the $899.00 for the whole new program.

Yes, there will be an upgrade as there always is. Keep an eye on the Sony Vegas website when 7 is released. Of course there'll be a ton of people talking about it on these boards as well.
