Hope the admins dont mind me posting this here. If you didnt know theres a little screen writing competition going on in the screenwriting forum. The traffic there is a bit slow so I wanted to post this here to get a little more interest. Assuming 500lb will put the voting system up tomorrow morning as well.

I have printed them off and will read them later today. Also I have linked your voting threads below. Should be interesting. Perhaps in the future should have it where your info is inserted in a dbase and is included in the script, but does not show in public attached to a writers name. In other words, a bit of anonymity to make the contest more even. Just a thought.

500lb did a great job this week setting the first one up and although theres room for improvement I am wrapped that it came to fruition. But I agree with your suggestion 100%!

The entries we got were great... I only wish we were able to get more entries!

One entry, and I won't say which until later, didnt even start until an hour before the deadline. Talk about pressure.

Also I was contacted privately by another forum member who is writing software to host and judge future contests. While it just couldn't be ready in time for this week, it promises to make future contests even better.

As for anonymity... this week, each writer had a different setup, so anonymity was difficult.

Next week, everyone will have the SAME SETUP, so anonymity will be much easier to maintain.

I'm also thinking of making it a TWO WEEK contest rather than one... so more writers can find time to participate.
