"All you &*^$*&&%* are gonna pay. You are the ones who are the ball-lickers. We're gonna f*ck your mothers while you watch and cry like little b!tches. Once we get to Hollywood and find those Miramax fucks who are making that movie, we're gonna make 'em eat our sh!t, then sh!t out our sh!t, then eat their sh!t which is made up of our sh!t that we made 'em eat. Then you're all you &^%%#&$& are next. Love, Jay and Silent Bob."

Might be interesting...
Who am I kidding! This is a bad idea.

The only thing I can really say I like that involves KS is An Evening With Kevin Smith, which of course, he didn't direct. He's a more interesting speaker than he is a director.
The fact that he is going to make a horror movie is scary...:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

Horror films rely on atmosphere and style.
And I can't see Smith pulling it off. He has no style.
This is just a bad idea, but I guess from a career standpoint it makes sense for him. Since its going nowhere fast.
We'll just have to wait and see.

I wouldn't put too much weight into this.(is that the correct saying??)
All it says is he'd like to do a horror. He'd have to come up with a humdinger of a script for a studio to bite on that one, and the lack of success(moderate success was achieved but nothing spectacular) of Clerks 2 says to me that not too many studios are going to be beating down his door to produce his next picture whatever it might be.
Maybe the Weinsteins would do it, but I'll wait until I see notice that the films in the can before I believe he does this.
But, kudos to him for attempting to expand his filmmaking horizons.

Well there you have it. KS is a pretty funny guy. His movies just aren't worth a shit.
William Peter Blatty my not be very funny but he was a success and both a novelist and screenwriter.
I like kevin Smith :) . However, The horror flick would probably end up a parody... Certainly better than any Scary Movie, tough...

Awesome avatar Staven!
I thought "Chasing Amy" was pretty damned horrific. I loved Mallrats. It showed me the true Ben Affleck. I can't see him any differently now. Leading man? WTF?
Kevin Smith can't do any worse than Eli Roth. I think Kevin Smith could be a pretty good writer if he'd get off of OLD and tired subjects.

I like his movies and hes a good guy, always very entertaining sure they may not be academy award movies but for what he does I feels hes good at it, dont prejudge him on a horror flick wait till it comes out if it sucks then bash him but give him a chance at the least

Kevin Smith is a great writer, knows how to tell a story.
The Weinsteins will release the horror, they know his fan base. Clerks II was made for 5 mill, so far made 25mil, plus when DVD sales come in, the Weinsteins will be very happy.
I can see his horror being made with the same budget, sure he has no visual style but he's managed to live on in the DVD world and I guess that's why the Weinsteins continue to keep him around. Mallrats was the only flick they didn't distribute or back.

They should totally tap him to host the Academy Awards.
That'd be entertaining.
