Location: Done (Community college)
Shooting: :kali:

I begin filming august 24th at my local community college. Ive been wanting to shoot a short there ever since a caught a glimpse of the stair case that leads into the basement of my college. I got some good actors and a pretty solid story so i hope every thing turns out well and good luck to everyone else!

Me too....Love the poster. I think you should repost your other version in this thread too. I like it even better than this one with the wrench. Do you work in graphic design? I'd love to hear how you did these.

Actually he posted them in the general horrorfest forum first...I just checked, and they're still there:

The poster with the dark red stairwell is so incredibly cool!

Hey Forshee--

Great posters. Both are totally wall-worthy. If there's a best poster category in the fest, my votes cast here. It's very professional, and the second one reminds me of PSYCHO.

Great.

I also noticed that you're running on a low-budget, yeah? The lamp you've got setup is killer; hilarious. How did that turn out in camera? Think it's worth posting a still up at the front of the thread?

haha kholi, budget doesnt exist in my dictionary dude. Im probably the cheapest film maker you will meet. However i wont sacrifice quality for my cheapness. If it cant be made then ill buy it. But for now dollies, booms, cranes, lights, or anything else that can be made will be made. (unless im recieving a budget :) )
You might recognize my boom the next time you paint :)

Id say the footage turned out pretty good. With a little bit of color correction and desaturation i think the overall shot is what i needed.

im not a lighting expert and unfortunately i dont know any either so i just set it up to the way it looks right to me.....

thanks for the comments on the posters!

You gotta use what you gotta use, dude! The grabs look nice, so obviously whatever you're doing is working just fine.

And neato job on the actors, as well. It's good to see some aged faces being put in front of the camera for the fest.
