I wish Quicktime had a feature that would estimate the filesize of the exported video.

I've been trying to get this video right, and I can't seem to find the right settings, everytime i use H264, it makes the filesize even bigger than before.

I completely agree with you on that. Sometimes if im on the run ill import into iMovie to see how big the file can be when i export. (they tell you if you use their defaults). i.e. web, full quality, cd-rom etc.

I do tests of small sections of my timeline(10 sec). Try out different compression settings. Find the settings you like, multiple this factor of 10 sec by the duration of your project.
