Automatic chapters in Encore

In a recent edition of EventDV, there was an article about efficiently doing DVDs for performing arts and such. The person recommended--especially for school projects--simply setting your authoring programme do automatically create chapter stops every 3-5 minutes, rather than one taking more time to hunt through the video and create meaningful chapter stops. His rationale was that most viewers of such projects may just want a convenient way of jumping through the footage rather than straight fast-forward or specific chapter stops.

Anyway, I keep hunting and can see no way to create automatic chapter stops in Encore. Anyone know how to do that? Please don't recommend that I change to some other software. We all know that software preferences abound for NLEs, DVD authoring, etc., but my question does not lead to that conclusion because I'm otherwise quite happy with Encore.

I haven't tried the newest version of encore but I don't think you can set it to put chapters like that. I just try to randomly select chapter points and evenly space them out.

Version 2.0 does it. Right click on the time ruler of the timeline you wish to do it in. Earlier versions have to be entered manually. You can do this in a few minutes by typing in the time in the timeline timcode field and hitting the chapter marker repeatedly.
