Hi All,
Is it possible to import a project file from Canopus into AE7? If not directly, is there a third party conversion program?
The Canopus EDIUS NX PCI Express (with Edius Pro Version 4) is on sale and I was wondering if its worth a look?
Thanks for your time?

It depends what ypu mean by "project file."
I used the Canopus RexRTPro for several years so I have a lot of elements that I use in AE that use the Canopus codec. There's a free codec you can download from the canopus website that enables you to use all of the elements captured using thier older SD products.
I'm not sure if that's the same for Edius HD products, but I imagine it is since they know that many [if not most] of their install base uses AE.
If what you meant by "project file" is tha ability to drag and drop directly from the Edius timeline into AE the way you can from Premiere, I doubt it.

Hey ChuckS,
Thanks for your reply. It is the Premier type work flow I'm after. The ability to open a project (already assembled) in AE for CC and animation.
I thought I read somewhere that this was possible, maybe Im thinking of FC. I guess PP remains my best bet.
