I teach at a high school, and as you can imagine I have timecode breaks on some of my tapes. I am trying to use the timecode regen feature to rewrite the timecode, but the timecode is wrong. It gets hung up on frames and FCP can't read it properly. Essentially it just is writing properly to each frame. It is in DF and I am starting at 0. Thoughts? I have tried it on more than one camera.

You could try recording it to another DV tape and get continuous timecode on the new tape that way. The new tape then becomes your master tape.
Haven't tried it myself so can't confirm it at the moment. Also not sure if you will need to do this on a deck with external timecode input or a freerunning internal timecode generator, because I THINK you may find transferring to another camcorder will just try and regen to the existing broken timecode.
I'm experiencing timecode breaks as well and need to regen the timecode. How is this done without recording to another tape since I have only one cam and no deck?

When you stop the tape, standby or turn off the camera, don't forget to REC REVIEW so the camera can find last scene, read the timecode and append it.\
