Car Crash ????

This weekend I'm shooting a car crash scene, but I don't want to really have an impact. The Camera will be mounted inside the moving car and hit a parked car while passing through a corner. I have AE 7 Pro and Retimer so I thought I could do a few passes at 5 mph then speed it up and then cut at the moment of impact. I would like to see some crazy stuff a few frames before we cut but I don't know...Anyone have any Ideas...?

You could look for some stock footage... or if itsa not for money and just for fun, maybe you can use some of the footate from that new commercial from Volkswagan.. I think. At least the inside shots you could use.

I thought the car crash scene in "Fight Club" was awesome without really destroying anything. Mostly interior, roll/turn/twist the camera, swirl the lights so it looks like the car if flipping or stopping very quickly, sprinkle some shards of fake sugar glass and slow it down.

Sound helps a lot with visual imagery.

I like John's idea. Put the car in impact position, give the camera a shake, then drive backwards with the camera steady, reverse it. I might try this myself just for fun.
