file settings are just convenience tools....as Barry says...these settings are not carved in stone.

Note the settings of F5....go to F2 dial position, relaod the F5 settings there....

go to the bottom of the file menu....

Select save/init

press save ...save...on the two screens that appear

do not press init on either screen.

F5 settings will be saved to F2 position

If u later want to revert to teh old settings.....again go to save/init ...select ...and on both screens select 'init' to revert to initial, factory settings.

That is what I'm doing, I was looking for a way without entering item by item :)

Now I'm sure I'm doing the right procedure :)

Thanks,
Ulisses

YEAH I think each setting has to be tweaked individually. there is no way to transfer them from positon to position on the file settings dial.

I believe that's correct, there's no way to copy scene file settings from one scene file to another. That's a feature Sony added to the FX1, and it's really nice, I hope other camera manufacturers adopt that feature.

Yes,

I used some sony betacam sp cameras with that feature, very important in cameras when the menu offer lots of settings, like the sony digibeta 700 and you want to copy one of your files to do minor adjustments.

Thanks !
