I had the opportunity to view this flick the other day.

And just wanted to toss my 2 cents out there on it.

It's a great feature debut by Géla Babluani.

This film reminded me so much of Reservoir Dogs in terms of its tone and atmosphere. (Not the writing or style) It takes a bit of time to set the scene, however when things get going Holy Christ is it intense.

Very simple cinematography but what makes the film work is the tension that is built by the story and situation. I was on the edge of my seat for the entire second half of this flick.

I'm including this link to the trailer which should tell you all you need to know about this one. (http://www.apple.com/trailers/independent/13tzameti/trailer/)

It's in limited release across the country but if you happen to be near a theater playing it I highly recommend it.

Seen it.
It's a pretty good movie.
Tone and style didn't reminded me of reservoir dogs though, this one is much darker and focuses more on drama.

Go see it if you can it's worth it! :D

You're right the tone was not similar.

But in terms of atmosphere i was refering to the tension.

Looks interesting. Is this similar to Intacto?

Just caught this yesterday. Had me very very tense. The direction was superb. I like the slow burning style and the horrid middle.

Great film... can't believe it's Babluani's debut. Some details will be lost on small screen, though.

Yes this film is very good. Have you see "IRREVERSIBLE" from Gaspar Noe ? If you have not see...try !

I am waiting the next film of Babluani...

My advice would be to see this without watching the trailer. i'd seen the trailer almost a year ago in a theater and knew what the story was about. I can only imagine how blown away I would have been had I not known where the protagonist would end up. So my advice is don't read about it, don't watch the trailer, don't even look at the main DVD menu, just see it.

It's true i actually didn't enjoy the movie because of that. It's like watching the crying game after you already know what happens. I still haven't watched that one.
