The short film "Grace and The Prombies" is a small piece of a very big puzzle. Contagion, along side Prombies will be filmed in St. Matthews, South Carolina a small town just about 40 minutes away from Charleston, South Carolina. This short film focus' on our main characters, Hunter and Grace as they are on their way to prom. When they arrive they realize very quickly that their fellow prom-goers have been there quite a while waiting on a good meal.

Our Director for this film, along with the feature, is Trey Howell, a visionary director homegrown out of South Carolina. If you've ever seen Cold Mountain, you may have caught a glimpse of him playing a Confederate soldier named Butcher, along side Jude Law.

Our FX artist for the feature film is Toby Sells and he is gracious enough to help us out on this short as well. Toby is based out of Atlanta, GA. You can familiarize yourself with his work here http://monstermaker181.tripod.com/ .

Our Director of Photography and Editor is Ramon Boutviseth (http://www.studiorb.com/) , out of North Carolina. His amazing visual edge has landed him numerous music video projects, some of which have been shown on MTV2.

Our Fight Choreographer and Action Supervisor is Matthew Sumner (http://www.reddragon-productions.com/) out of North Carolina. His 15 years experience in many forms of Martial Arts, including Muay Thai adds a unique flare to any project he has a hand including the short film "The Key" which opened for "Kill Bill" and "Hero" at the Black Belt film fest in California.

In Athens we have the opportunity to get our hands on some great sites but you need to know how to search for one. If you check out the 'Door Between' thread you'll see some pics I posted from one location we'll be using. We didnt find it, it found us!

sweet location, I just recently lucked out on an eight story hotel with two basement levels that got hit by a hurricane ( where I shot Parasite Dark ). it's a total sh*thole... I loved it.

No "tool" ...just the power of persuasion...actually we were able to call the superintendent of schools for the county, he sent out a member of their maintenance staff and had 3 different schools for us to chose from...we also have permission to shoot in the local highschool (still in use) as long as its between 8pm and 6am...and we clean up ofcourse :)...in the primary town (St.Matthews,SC) where we are shooting, we were able to acquire from the town an old National Guard Armory for our production facility...it already had electricity, water (hot/cold), we got the phones, internet, and 50 feet of blue screen compositing wall up...we're still in the process of getting it fully outfitted for our feature production www.TheCurseofProsperity.com (http://www.TheCurseofProsperity.com) you can see some pictures of the facility on the feature's thread here: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=66586
So yeah we did get the keys! Alot of them...I'm starting to feel like a janitor :)

Ooohhh I like that!! I deffinatly got some inspiration from Pretty in Pink for the movie poster, and for the previous poster, some good old 60's thrillers, mainly Audrey Hepburn ones :)

I really like the artwork, with storyboards like these you cant lose when shooting...
as for the shots, they look good, however I got the feeling that you have too many angles...don't know what you think...maybe if its finished it looks good and moves smoothly...but I felt like ,as a viewer, that I was moving around a lot

They are deffinatly very early, just something to go by the actual DP on set will make sure that everything flows very well :)

We've got our costumes completed, we have our wonderful make up artist on board ( who is about to start work on a film with the same director from "Snakes on a Plane"! )

:) Our storyboards are almost finished ( may be finished by this point! !!! ) And now we're rounding up some more extras and then we'll be completely set!
