It's not "fuzziness", it's an out of focus shot and it's because the wound doesnt look real.
I dont want to be a pain or a spoil sport, but it's an okay tutorial for screwing around to fool a friend (at the first .002 second glance), but it's not good enough for a film.

It was nice and gory, but the edges on the final product were wrinkled in a wierd way. Didn't quite buy it. Other than that a decent tutorial. As a Flickr commenter said, some people find mortician's wax to be better.
