I would be greatful if some of you guys would like to share you methods to export maximum quality in AE.
I´ve been trying with several types but never get satisfied, its always lower the DV quality somehow in the end.

Uncompressed Animation codec, progressive, everything on best...it's the default render settings when you add something to the queue, so all you to do is add your comp to the render queue, select a destination and hit render...highest quality right there.

Quicktime PNG is also uncompressed, but smaller file sizes... Depending on how much space you have avail.

Thanks, but i have tried ém before and both of ém makes it look bad, i might be doing something wrong.
It is always when i add color correction, blur etc to a clip that this happens, it looks sort of grainy and somekind of raster appears which is very clear on some parts of the clip, especially if it´s sky or water. (hope you understand what i mean, my english is a bit rusty)

It makes it look better but there´s still some parts that are a bit flickery. It´s in the scenes where there´s alot of sky that i have been adding contrast to that this happens, when i look at the raw DV clip it looks great but afterwards AE it does not.
Right now im saving it as MPEG-2@10mps, all the QT formats doesnt turn at that good for me.
..anyway, hope someone understands my problem, its a bit hard to explaine in english.
btw, great forum this is :-)

While you add contrast to the rather already compressed footage, you also make some colors from the sky stand out increasing ramping. This happens because DV footage doesn't give to the effect "much" pixels to work correctly and blend smoothly the different color values. You might see it look great in the raw DV but adding contrast amps DV's compression artifacts.

I see, but is there a way to avoid these artifacts?
