Quicktime Progression!?!?! Help!

I have a random question.


I've compressed video files in Quicktime mainly using SORENSON 3 codec (so pc users can see it also).

Can anyone explain to me why sometimes you click on the link and all you get is a QUICKTIME logo on the screen, until the whole video has loaded?

Other times you actually see the progression of the bar filling up...

Basically what is going on? I want to have the bar visible to see progression. Because alot of people think it doesnt work that arent comptuer savvy.

I believe the option you need to check is "prepare for internet fast start" in your settings.

(but this is from memory, it's something like that)

When you export click on prepare for internet streaming and click below for compressed header compresses the header so it loads quicker.
