matching cloudy day with sunny day

obviously it isn't ideal to shoot on a cloudy day and try to match the footage from a shoot on a sunny day, but i won't get into why that happened. anyways i need to match the cloudy footage to the sunny footage as best as possible and was wondering if anyone had any ideas or suggestions? here's 2 screen grabs:

One thing I noticed that you might try is using a "match color" if you NLE has it. Match the color of the road from one clip to the other.

I think you might try an RBG curve and raise the red while lowering the blue. That would give the image a slight warmish and more "evening" look.

I got them to match decently by just applying the "Basic cool max" filter from magic bullet. What NLE are you using?
