I am attempting to playback HVX DVCPro50 video which I shot in squeeze using FCP.
16:9 appears to be correct in both the viewer and canvas windows however the image won't appear correctly on my Panasonic LH1700 monitor.
If I set the monitor to 16:9 the image is stretched and doesn't fill the screen vetically.
When the monitor is set to 4:3 a 16:9 image appears centered on the screen slightly overhanging the 4:3 safety snf with a black frame surrounding it.
I have tried all options in the audio/video sequence set up including switching to square pixels. I beleive that the problem lies either with the monitor or the FCP Sequence setup but I'm out of ideas.
