Yes, there are some errors, but here is a sample of some interesting footage (IMHO) I captured with a Canon 500mm mirror lens attached to a Redrock M2:

Thanks for throwing that up, I haven't seen that doughnut effect for a while, good ol mirror lens effect, suppose you use that sparingly to create an interesting defocus effect when shoot hdv.:dankk2:

Hey doumm, you're very welcome.
And by the way, I remember seeing several "mainstream" films that have used the mirror lens effect to great advantage, but I can't recall the names of any of them (I specifically recall a long shot on the protagonist walking towards camera on a busy city street - he stands out in perfect focus and the doughnut effect is all over the place in the bg and fg).
Any examples you can recall?
(and yes, I absolutely agree that it's an effect best used sparingly)
