Edius crash with mpeg...HELP!

Hi guys,

i am working with the 3.6 trial of edius, and was trying to edit some mpeg content(actually still .vobs from dvd copied to harddisk!)

Ive never tryed this before, but some files cant be imported, others cant be draged to the timeline, and the ones that i can drag to the timeline will make dius crash...!

Do i have to convert the .vobs into avi or other format?
What would be the quickest(and maybe direct) way to use the content..i am using a lot of dvd content for this project, and i dont wanna convert all this footage..any help??

If you can, you should really decode or extract the original MPEG streams out of the VOBs. The extra angles, navigation, subtitles and audio in VOBs can confuse the decoder.

I'd check Doom9.org or VideoHelp.com - there are a number of different tools available depending on how you want to do things.
