Hey all,
So for a year now I have come on these boards and commented and analyzed other peoples work, so I figured it's time to share a bit of mine. For legal reasons I can't put the full film up, but here's a trailer for my latest short movie... hopefully hitting the festival world later this year. I'm curious to see what you think. I was shot on this strange, archaic medium called 16mm film ;)
In terms of look, know that the trailer is a bit brighter than the film print so as to appease my PC brothers with darker gamma!

Dude who is that male actor. I so know him but I can't put his face into another movie.
Looks great! 16mm rocks.

larry hankin on imdb (http://imdb.com/name/nm0359969/)
His bio is on my website, too. You probably know him as the "other" kramer, or Mr. Heckles on friends. Also, Escape from Alcatraz, The Sure Thing, Billy Madison, and more...

I liked the trailer a lot! Looks like you have a talented cast... and I thought the look was great as well... one question... why 4:3? Are you still planning on having it widescreen?

That's right. It was Money Talks!! LOL
I just saw that movie less than a month ago on television. That's where I remember him.
And I'm sure other places as well.
Great stuff, dude.

[Editied after I re-read it and realized I was waaay tooo wordy!]
yes... other kramer... thanks! I modified...
As for 4x3.. I shot 16mm, not super 16, and I finished a 16mm film print. Thus, 4x3. This was a film school project and part of the "rulez." I went with the look.

I wish. Nope, older... can't remember off the top of my head. My DPs were fantastic and very clever. We had, well, not the greatest gear, but they managed to pull off a that look with like 2 china balls, photofloods, and some minimoles. My PD was amazing, too. Transforming that house in the hollywood hills into a basement. After this, I have learned that every project I will ever do in the future will have textured walls and attention to detail detail detail.
