I bought a dvx100b for $1,419 new. The customer service guy said the one i bought was the INTERNATIONAL one and was of lesser quality than the one in the U.S. Is this true? I've saved up money for so long to get this and now I hear the one i'm getting is not AS good. Is this for real?

Let me guess -- the place you bought it from is based in Brooklyn, right?
You're being scammed. Cancel the order immediately and prepare for a living hell trying to get out of this "deal".

I hope I'm wrong, but there's a good chance you've been had, you're not going to find a DVX100B new for that price. If you paid by Western Union Moneygram, it was most certainly a scam.
There is no quality difference between US and non-US models. The only difference is in the recording format (NTSC vs. PAL).
