Help!!...I'm an idiot...

I recently got my HVX and got so excited I just wanted to go out shooting ASAP, BUT, I forgot to format my cards before shooting and don't want to lose the shots I got.... How can I offload my footage into my HP Pavilion using Vegas 6.0? Please help out a local village idiot!!

use the "other functions" menu to set "pc mode" to "usb device". Plug the HVX into the Pavilion using a USB2 cable, and put the HVX in "PC MODE". It'll show up on your desktop as an external hard disk (actually two); copy the contents of those "hard disks" (the P2 cards) onto your computer.

Quick question, when I look in the "Hard Drives" of the HVX, it pops up a bunch of folders, are all those part of my footage as well?

Yes.

Yes, and you have to copy all of them, I suggest to create several bins and name them sequentially, then copy every card in sequence.

Get P2Genie -- will make the entire exercise two things:

1. Cheap
2. Painless

(I am assumming it will still work in your situation)
