how to record from fcp 5 timeline to hvx200

Hello,
I am new to your forum and I need a little help outputting from g4/1.67 laptop back to hvx200. I want to record the timeline, time code back to the tape. When using the book info, I can't get it to work. Or I am not understanding how they are saying to do it. I just want to record the images from the timeline and also record the timecode that is on the timeline into the camera tape. Thanks

Match the camera settings to the sequence settings.

That is essential.

But you can't record time code unless you nest the sequence and use the time code generator.

Ok, I don't think that I said that right. I don't want to have visual timecode on the tape. I would like to have the timecode on the timeline end up being the timecode on the tape but not visible. I have completed a commercial but need the timecode for it to be appropiate for airing.

Firewire will carry the Timecode signal in it. So if the HVX 200 is set to the right mode (I forget which one) and you use the correct output function it should take the timecode of your sequence with it.
