Hey guys. This question may be rhetorical to most but I am off the charts OCD with my new DVX (as i have read many are). The balance between being careful and being obsessive proves elusive at this point in the game indeed. Anyways... I couldnt find this question on any other thread so in the hopes that I am not repeating an already asked question, here we go.

I bought Hoodman LCD screen covers (those little plastic stick-on things) to protect my screen from dust and scratches and what not. But they came with this cardboard "squeege" thing that you are supposed to slide across the screen while unpeeling the plastic cover. Now, I had to do this about 10 times or so before I actually got the thing to fit well on the screen. I was very gentle on the screen when pressing the plastic down each time. Now I am worried that I touched it too much even though they were all light touches (no impacts). I thought it was bad to touch these screens at all... especially since even the lightest pressure causes those wavy ripples in the screen to some degree. So.... can that sort of light touching to any damage to the screen? Especially if I had to repeat putting these things on so many times? Where is the balance between what is OK touching and damaging touching? Screen looks fine... hmm so I guess I am asking for your guys' input to help clear my mind (or what seems most unlikely... illuminate some misuse on my part). Thanks for the support guys!

Be well.

I want you to show me what kind of touching you're talking about with this puppet.

Just kidding. How are things up north? I don't think you're going to do any damage to your screen by normal cleaning or applying a screen protector. I think any excessive force to the screen will cause damage, but light touching and cleaning shouldn't have any effect. I always clean my screen when it's turned off, probably doesn't make a difference, but it's habit.
