Hi,
has anyone ever tried the Matrox Parhelia APVe component HD output with Edius (either 3 or 4) ?? Matrox claims the signal is perfect 1080i, but I'm not sure about that (the card costs only around 350$)
Actually, what are the available options to output HD from Edius?? Is Edius compatible with any 3rd party HD solution (Blackmagic, AJA, ...)??
I'd like to invest in something that could be used with multiple softwares...even if I my main NLE right now is Edius Broadcast.
Thanks!

Unless you're OK with using overlay-drawn graphics card output, the only way to get true HD output from EDIUS is via one of the EDIUS hardware options.

Brandon, Hi- I already have a digital dual monitor setup. Is there a specific add-on board I can buy or upgrade to output HD to my Panasonic LT-BH1700W (I'm using Broadcast v4 without any Canopus hardware).

Thanks.

EDIUS NX with the HD Expansion would be the cheapest way, though it comes with EDIUS Pro.

Once the EDIUS v4 version supporting the hardware is released later this month, you can put your EDIUS Broadcast v4 dongle in and you'll have EDIUS Broadcast v4 on there with HD component output.
