So I just got off a job & realized that at some point on the 6 day documentary shoot, I went from scene file 5 to scene file 6 & didn't notice. Is the editor going to have some problems loading all this stuff together, especially because I have no idea when it happened? Is there any way to find out if a tape was shot 24p or 24pA after it's been shot?
:dankk2:
Any help is thoroughly appreciated :)

If they're using Premiere Pro 2.0 or Vegas, they'll have no problems at all.

If they're using Avid or FCP, yes there's a potential issue, they'll have to manually strip the pulldown out of the F5 footage. You can tell which is which by playing the footage back in-camera and toggling the COUNTER button until it displays the frame rate, or simply by stepping through the footage frame-by-frame: if it's 24pA footage you'll see four solid frames followed by one split frame; if it's 24p Standard footage you'll see three solid frames followed by two split frames.

Later versions of Avid can remove standard (default F5) pulldown during capture, but you still need to know which one you're working with in order to set up a proper capture.
