Since I live in PHX AZ, and it's hot ALL the time, especaily in the summer, in the middle of july.
I would like to know, could the sun damage my camera in anyway shape or form?
Because I'll be shooting the rest of this summer, mostly out-side, in like 115 degree weather!

The manual says that the operating temperature is up to 104 degrees. There is also a humidity limit. Read the manual. Perhaps someone else has advice who has used the camera under such conditions. I'd keep it out of direct sunlight, consider mounting an umbrella in the shoe mount, and maybe even put it in a cooler between shoots (not with ice or water) just to protect it from the environment.

I would think theres no problem if you keep that cam shaded all day as in not under direct sunlight.
I had never seen this before but happened on a guy yesterday who had modded a hotshoe light handle to have an actual umbrella on top of it.

ok, so just for safey in the summers, I'll use an umbrella, JUST in case something were to fry inside...

Also the manual says that you should not point the lens at the sun. but that goes to all cameras i guess. This won't help you, but the dvx works very good in -10 degres celsius :)
Keep that eyepiece out of the path of direct sunlight!
The magnifying lens will burn up the LCD screen in there as fast as I can burn up ants...
