Hey folks!

I need to show a clip of a large wall falling down (like a huge castle stone wall) - preferably something crumbling/falling apart as if it was in an earthquake. This is for simulating the biblical event of Joshua at Jericho.

I was thinking of trying to create some sort of miniature version of a wall that I could pull down -- just trying to get some ideas to get going here. If anyone has any suggestions for a movie clip to look at, I would appreciate that.

Also, any suggestions on how to shoot that is greatly appreciated as well

Thanks in advance!

Tim P.

If its a static wall:
After Effects, shatter plugin in, Artbeats Mayhem CD, Particle Ilussion "smoke emitters" delirium's "earthquake" plugin

You might wanna think about shooting something in miniature, slowing it down, and compositing it.

Apart from that, Hard Body Dynamics and compositing of elements like dust and small rubble is about the only way to go.

or go to some house that is being demolished and film it!

Find a wall. Place container with 1 part aqua velva, 1 part crest toothpast, 2 parts Pepsi, Dial 911 on your cell phone,---and run like hell,---backwards.
Might want to use a Steadicam for this one.
Good luck!
