Hey guys,

I hope someone can help me. This is makin' me mad, and I'm too fruststrated to look through the PHOTOSHOP CS2 manuals.

As I said, this is for Photoshop CS2, on my G4 IBOOK... When I select the text tool and type something.. it doesn't show up. Even if I apply it to a new layer and make sure it's on top. COMPLETELY INVISABLE. So I was wondering if there's somthing I do not know or if my Photoshop is just screwed, which I dont think it is. I think it's fine. The text just isn't showing up when I type.

The strange thing is when I look in the layers window, I can see what I wrote on that layer, as it names it self as a text layer, just not in the viewer.

Im stumped.

Thanks

What color is your font? White on a white background would appear invisible. What's its opacity?

It's possible your font settings are messed up. Click the font pallete menu at the top of the screen when you click the text tool. I'm guessing your scale/font size is really small.

Not there yet. Opacity 100% - scale is set to 60 pt but it's still invisable.. oh man... frustrating.

Thanks for trying though.

Are you sure that the text color isn't the same as your layer color? Double click the font box thingy (technical, I know) in the layer menu, which will highlight your text. Then go to the character menu and double click the box that indicates your text color. Change that to your favorite color (pink, I believe).

Nope, tried pink already, not my favourite colour anymore.

In all honesty, I know quite abit about photoshop. I just can't figure this out. Transparent background, fill and stroke are both black. and even when I import old photoshop layers from before, the text is till not visable, I am stumped.. guess I'm gonna have to email the people who designed it. Damn adobe.

Crappy.

Thanks again.

maybe your text box is shrunk. That's most likely your problem. When you click the text tool, click and drag diagonally to make a text box. This SHOULD fix it.
