Hi guys,
I had this video job, my 2nd P2 fell into the water, recovered after 4 days and than died and its still dead. Ok, sharing pain is over.
1 minute after the dvd master was burned the client gave me 251 pictures: "can you please add them to the dvd?
"Yes sir yes"
"Can you also add two little logos of my company on each photo?"
"...errrr, yes sir yes"

So, is there a method to add two jpgs (or a layer) simoltaneously on more than one picture?

Any help will be appreciated.

In Photoshop you can do many layers. Does the logo jpeg have a black or white background? You could remove the bg by choosing the appropriate blending mode (in the layers window next to opacity, default is normal, try something like multiply). Making sure the logo layer is on top of the main background jpeg.

Make sure the photo is sized or cropped to the correct aspect for your final output. Flatten that image and save it as a jpeg or psd import it into whatever you use for edit, render.

Re-reading your post, i'm not sure actually what you want to accomplish. Are you wanting the photos to x-fade while the logos stay put? If that is the case then just bring the photos in (resized to correct aspect) to your editor, bring logos in with alpha channel or if it is a white or black background, then placing the photos on one layer then place the logos on another layer (above the photos) then choose a blending mode there. Same thing as in Photoshop but in the video editor (final cut for me).

hopefully that helped.

thanks ian,
I just want to add the same layer with normal blend to all the 251 pics. I'm doing the job now picture per picture and it's taking a lot of time.

you can record an ACTION so you don't have to do it by hand. Cause man, that's a lot of photos.

Record an action! Great suggestion. going now to the help section to see how to do it. BTW, are you philipino? My girlfriend is half Philipino.

yeeah i'm pilipino (with an accent ahahah!) actually it's spelt Filipino no PH, that's just for the spelling of the country Philippines. I am 1st generation american-filipino born and raised in Hawai'i. Now i live in seattle!

good luck!

So, wrote an action: I open the picture, start the action (place layer, save as jpg copy, close original). Frankly i wrote two actions, one for the horizonal pics and one for the vert. Its ok, i'm placing those logos just with one click and i'm saving a LOT of time . But i still have to do it 251 times. its not good for my carpal tunnel.

It seems to me that you should be able to place all the photos in a folder, select them all and apply the action to all of them, ending with a save to each, of course and saving a bunch of time.

You can actually batch process this. Under File, there is a AUTOMATE --> BATCH Then from there you can choose what action and what folder (that contains your vertical/horizontal) photos then also choose destination folder.

You might be done with the process though. But for next time, check out this feature.

Yes, Batch! It's been a long time since I last did it and forgot the name. Thanks.

Blaine and Ian, those are precious suggestions. my right hand is smoking now. i'm going to finish the job with the batch suggested. And i'm going to use it a lot in the future. Thank you again.
And, Ian, I'm going to follow your sewing lesson too
