I wasn't really sure if this had been done before, But to tell you the truth, even if it has, I Think it's high time it be done again.
I feel a personal wish to thank the DVXuser forum and all it's members, with a special thanks to it's President and the Moderators for all their hard work and dedication.
Every member here knows of the valuable resources this forum provides, the unwavering help most of the members here give sometimes to the point of exhaustion and beyond is exemplary of not just how one should conduct themselves within a community, but as human beings as well.
I def. would like to thank each member by name, but to mention some and not all would be an injustice. So I hope it sufficient with this "thank You" on a personal note from me regardless if anyone else does the same. All of you know who you are and you deserve it; Maybe other members wish to say "thanks" as well, maybe some might want to say "your welcome". Regardless of any of that, I just wanted to say:
THANK YOU DVXuser!!!

In celebration of throwing down the love.. I will be announcing a new addition to dvxuser tonight, most of you should be able to see in the middle of the navbar at the top of the page, a new link called "Member Upload Center."
This is gonna be a new FREE addition to dvxuser that gives you 10mb of file storage for your posts so you can upload trailers, clips, image grabs etc. to share with each other. Should be working in about 6 or so hours.
Just a little of me showing my appreciation for everyone here.

Yeah, got mine about 2 months ago from the marketplace, almost sold it twice in that timeframe due to all the cool looking footage coming out of the HVX... friggin hype almost killed our relationship. But it's probably better to learn to use what I have first before going out and buying a whole other camera with a steeper learning curve.
Just bought the Rode ntg2 mic and the cartoni focus tripd, gonna get the m2 next month.
Its funny, I got into filmaking this febuary, bought a palmcorder... returned it. Almost bought a gl2, cancelled the order... "Friend" wanted to unload his XL1 on me and almost sold me with a "it's thecamera they used on 28 days later" speech. But then i found DVXuser and learned too much great info to ignore. The rest is yet to be history though, I have been messing around with the DVX at parks and stuff, but have yet to produce a single short. I have loads of cool ideas, just gotta get out there and actually do them.

I joined at the end of June.
Katrina turned my life over and shook it out in pieces like furniture from a doll house at the end of August.
My girlfriend and our newly adopted beagle and two cats and I evacuated to my parent's farm in Texas where we lived in the garage (I finished Shed) and we substitute taught elementary school
http://9.forumer.com/html/emoticons/multilevel/puke.gif
Then we moved back to New Orleans in October for 4 months where we struggled to get by with all my income sources washed away by the Hurricane. (and made another DVXuser movie)
When our landlord evicted us because he needed to live in our apartment (we had been month to month for a year), and with rent in the area doubling, we relocated to Brooklyn like immigrants from another country coming to the promised land in hopes of increased opportunity (and made another DVXuser movie).
Beyond technical knowledge and helping to make my dream of being a filmmaker come true, DVXuser has been the most consistent community and group of friends that I have had in this year of upheaval and re-invention. Whomever I had to leave behind in whatever city, whatever newly conceived plan for making some kind of new life that had to be scrapped for a newer yet equally short lived plan, DVXuser was the only constant outside my GF, the beagle and the two cats.
Given that, it's no wonder I earned and then re-earned and then double earned the monicker "Mr. Excitable" several times over based on the ebb and flow and ups and downs of this site and interactions with the members here. In other words what happens on DVXuser matters to me ... a helluva lot.
Thanks for being a light house in a year adrift, where I am just now am I coming to shore.
