For last nine months I have been leading a product development team that has designed a leaf spring oscillator (http://www.cinedof.eu/render_12072006.jpg) for visible noise reduction in DOF adaptor assembly.
A biaxial, self canceling focusing screen oscillator that even dampens vibration before it reaches adaptor housing. It oscillates about 0.2-0.4mm in diameter and has snap-in snap-out screen holder.
All in one-piece design to save production/assembly time and costs.
It utilizes off the shelf 12mm coin type vibration motor and accommodates different frensel focusing screens with 25-26mm of height.
BTW it fits into tube that has at least 56.7mm inner diameter like many macro tubes etc.

Should I take the honor of inventing and publishing that biaxial oscillator principle?

I guess it takes another month to get it into production.

Cheers,
T

very cool!!!!

would be sick to take my ifocus and throw ina piece to vibrate the GG.

How much is the vibrating GG assembly going to cost? I want one, once I see some footage.

As it`s aimed for DIY community it wouldn`t cost too much, something around $100 for instructions and Beattie-like screen with vibraton unit.
Additional costs would be only for macro tube ($10), batteries/charger, stepdown rings and Cavision rails mount ($80) plus something like $80 for #6T/250D acromat for HVX users.
Let`s hope that for DIY folks it will be possible to make their own smallest and most versatile DOF adaptor for under $300.
