Here is a little production tip that I found useful for Raylight. I use several computers. I keep all of my clips on one computer. If I convert a clip to Raylight using that computer, then the Raylight clip will NOT work on my other computers in my network. First off, I'll give you the solution to this problem, then the explanation.

The solution - convert the files to Raylight using one of the other computers on your network (going through the network). Do not create the Raylight files using the machine where the files are stored.

The explanation - I beleive this is because Raylight references the original MXF file. And in the Raylight file there is a tag locating the original file with the drive letter, folder, etc (example: C:\CONTENTS\Video\12HBNB.mxf). Well, the problem is, it isn't referencing the location of the file on the network, just the location of the file on the actual computer itself. So if you create the Raylight going through the network then it also includes the computer that it is located on into the tag (example: \\ComputerName\C:\CONTENTS\Video\12HBNB.mxf). Now every computer on your network can find it and use it properly.

Hope this helps.
