View Full Version : EDIUS Broadcast V4 (4.01) up and running
I've just updated my EDIUS Broadcast to V4 (4.01). Except for some strange looking fonts and graphics (illogical color bars etc.) everything is fine. My 50Hz (PAL) Panasonic HVX200E is now fully supported (720p/25p etc.). European/Oceanic FCP and AVID users with HVX's will now become really jealous .

How does it work with framerates?
would be curious too, to see the "hacked" framerated starting from 2 frames in an edius timeline..could you pleeease do it?

OK - I'll test it.
I've tested the variable frame rates 2fps and 50fps (base 720/25pN). Works as expected.
Canopus kept their promise :dankk2:
By the way - the font/graphics problems are gone. Don't ask why.
Please,
How I have to do to get update??
I have Edius Broadcast 3.61, but in the web page Canopus the update does not go out
Thanks
You can order your upgrade through the Canopus Office nearest to your location or by contacting your local Canopus Dealer. The package includes a new dongle.
Thanks for your information.:)

Yes Canopus is steps ahead. Really good for us PAL users.

Ive tried the trial of edius 4 that i found on a japanese canopus server, but unfortunatly it seems to be edius pro only, so no possibility to check the sweet new settings..brrr!
Lets hope that the "official" trial thats going to come in the next week on the canopus.com page is going to be like the trial of version 3(with some broadcast extensions like p2 tool etc.)!

I installed it today but with one complain it removed my licensed EDIUS 3 version first :furious3:
What I liked most was the time warp feature (it is on the left click menu of the clips).
Besides that I didn't see anything different. Still jumps frames on stop.
And I don't think they are so fool to give the broadcast extension for trial.

Her you'll find the correct trial version: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=64362
It should include DVCPRO 50 and HD.
