Hi All,
I have a two part question. I shot some test footage in 720 24pn mode. Brought the clips into Avid and started seeing some interlacing lines. Why are there interlacing lines when the clips were shot in progressive mode and are being viewed on a progressive monitor.
Part two, while playing around with the footage, I wanted to change the timecode visible at the top of the source monitor to show frames instead. I realized that I actually can change the clip to work in many different time codes. 24p, 30DF, 25 etc... Can someone explain to me what this is and for example, if the clips were 24fps (23.97) when recorded to the P2 card, what would changing the timecode to 30DF or any of the other options do? Does that chaneg my export options?
Thanks
Art
