Shot in Mom's backyard with a 300D and the 55-200 zoom. PaintShop Pro X' "Smart Photo Fix" did the CC, since I don't know what the heck I'm doing.

More vacation snapshots here: http://www.genjerdan.com/private/Vacation2006 (And they mostly ARE snapshots. Ain't no photographer, me.)

Pretty cool. Looks like the Don Corleone of nut gatherers.

Did you get to Caesar's before the NJ shutdown?

Yeah...but it wouldn't have mattered all that much. We were just going around to different places to see stuff. I think we spent all of 100 dollars in Caesar's....and that was on slots. :)

Is that a chipmunk ... don't know that I've ever seen a chipmunk in person ... lots of squirrels but no Alvin, Simon, or Theodore.

Yeppers. Chipmunk. My wife had never seen one, either.

Well...never even heard of one, dispite Chip n Dale cartoons. They thought they were squirrels. (No grey squirrels in Romania, just the red ones, so I guess it wasn't unreasonable.)

Anyway, that's him, cheeks full of sunflower seeds. He'd zip over under the bird-feeder, stuff his face, then zip back under the house to either eat them or store them...don't know which...but he kept it up for over an hour. :)

Yeah...but I didn't do anything. I just pointed the camera at it and click, camera on full auto.

Like the one of the pigeon overlooking NYC. I'm pressed up against the railing, trying to get a shot of Manhattan, and my wife says "Take a picture of the pigeon." I says "What pigeon?", back up a little and Oh. Click.

Let's call them fortuitous snapshots. :)
