Will Wiebe Tech firewire drivedock work directly with the HVX?

Hi,

Just ordered my HVX today and was wondering if anyone knows if my Wiebe Tech firewire drive dock will interface directly from the HVX from its firewire connector with out having to use my lap top in between. (The drivedock is used to allow me to add external eide drives to my laptop) Works great with my laptop for external storage of my present video files. If this would work, especially in the HD mode, how sweet it would be.

You can offload video files from the HVX but you can't record directly to the drives. You need either a firestore type device or capture to disks using an NLE.
