This is really a 2 part question. Hope it's not being redundant.

I just completed the first segment of a 20 segment HD project (each one appoximately 4 minutes). The first thing I want to do is put together a stream for the web.

I have FCP 5. I tried using compressor but can't find (or know how to make) a preset for an HD stream. I could use H264 (lan) Streaming QT7 and it looks great except it's in 4x3. Very confusing since all HD is 16x9. I also tried to go to QT conversion with a file size of 320x180 also using lan. Does anyone have any experience with what numbers work the best??? Any help on this would be wonderful.

The second part of my question may be redundant. If it is, please accept my apologies.

I want to make an SD DVD so the client can see approximately what it's going to look like. Again, should I use compressor or QT conversion or QT movie for this????

Thanks in advance,

eric

If you type in compressor is the search feature you get some good threads..

Here is one I helped someone out with.

As for the 2nd, I usually Export>QT Movie and than import into DVDSP

I will go back to my original question. How do you stream HD footage using H264? I can't find any presets in compressor or QT to stream a file say somewhere around 320x180. I've seen some pretty good HD streaming and would love to know just what settings they are using.

Again, my HD clips are only around 4 minutes each.
