Hi,

I've been trying to import my DVCPRO HD footage into After Effects 7.

The composition settings are 1440x1080,

16:9 frame aspect ratio,

25fps.

When i import it into AE the compostion is not the same size as the footage. It squashes the footage to fit.
Is this a setting in After Effects? Or does it have something to do with the footage i'm trying to import?

Any help what would be greatly appreciated.

aspect ratio settings - right click and Interpret Footage on the clips

Best to open AE, import a clip, and drop it into the project icon.

Then everything is sized correctly.

David, thats theoreticly right, but what mike said is necessary: adjust the aspect ratio settings!!

I ran into the same problem, someone here helped me out with this...Thanks!

JOEL-where are you from, and what are you editing with?
I am from Pal land too, and looking to find good workarounds, do you get a signal out to a controll monitor?

Is it possible to pull DVCproHD into AE without using an intermediary codec like CineForm??
