i didnt realize there was a section, so i posted it in the cafe. this is more apropriate though. just got photoshop from a friend and trying to learn it. its confusing! heres my first piece

Its great for a first timer - I can't do that...and I've been using it for about 6 months now...tho I do my stuff on a need to know basis..

Looks pretty good for the texture for the background. I've never really gotten into though, I mostly do photo touch-ups and colour correction to photos.

looks great for a first time, can't wait to see your stuff in 5 years

It's good man, now just chizle in your web address, look into displacement maps and "grunge" techniques on the web. Make your web address PART of the image, not just difficult to read plain white text on top of a design.

I agree with zoo. Nice work. If the lettering were part of the image it would be much stronger.
